I look at business a little differently than most… If you’ve been reading and following along for any length of time, you probably know that already.
Well, how I look at MY business directly reflects that lens—more so, what I want my business to be.
It’s a vehicle—a vehicle that drives me toward my definition of success.
To know what my vehicle needs to be capable of, I need two things:
1️⃣ A defined starting point
2️⃣ A desired destination
If the destination is success, then I have to define that. What is my definition of success?
For each of you, it will be different. Of course, there will be commonalities, but each of you has a different life, different priorities, and your definition of success should reflect that.
What isn’t simple—and where people miss the mark the most—is the starting point.
So, what is that starting point?
👉 It’s your core values.
Yes, the starting point is the values you hold closest to your heart. Whether that’s professionalism, connection, scale, finances—whatever matters most to you.
🔹 Your core values are the starting point of your business journey.
🔹 The business itself is simply the vehicle that takes you from your core values to success.
I challenge you to take a moment and:
✅ Clearly define what success means to you.
✅ Identify the five core values you hold.
✅ Take a good, hard look at your business and ask yourself:
"Is my business driving me?"
There’s a reason people feel burnt out, disconnected, and experience inconsistent success—it’s 100% tied to the alignment (or misalignment) of business and core values.
When that alignment is in place, it’s only a matter of time and effort—success is guaranteed.
